Serves-4
Ingredients:
20-25 big chillies de-seeded
4 tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1 cup groundnut powder
2 sps whole jeera
1 inch cinnamon stick
1 sp garlic & ginger paste
1 sp salt
1 sp chilly powder
2 pinches turmeric powder
1 cup chopped coriander
5 sps sunflower oil
Method:
- Wash and grind tomatoes into a smooth paste.
- In a deep sauce pan,heat oil and add jeera.Allow them to splutter.
- Add onion and fry for a minute.
- Slit each chilly into two halves and fry them for 2-3mins adding to the sauce pan.
- Now add ginger garlic paste ,cinnamon stick,salt and chilly powder and saute for 2mins.
- Add groundnut powder and tomato paste.Mix well.
- Pour 1 glass of filter water and close the lid.
- On low heat,allow it to boil for 10-15mins.
- Mix the curry now and then,whilst boiling.
- When done,garnish with dry red chillies and coriander.
- Serve hot with roti or rice.Tastes excellent and spicy.
